I've offered this as a back-to-school 2-hour in-service training, but it can also be divided into smaller institutes or PLCs throughout the year. While it's best to order TESOL's 6 Principles Quick Guide for Paraeducators and distribute it to participants, you can provide this training without it, as much of the content is in the slides. Unfortunately, Minnesota did not adopt the CC Math Standards and there were hardly any resources for MN Math Standards. So.....I created my own. They are plain, with a large font so all students and adults are able to read them (requested by my Administrator). I have one "I can" statement for each lesson of Everyday Mathematics through the beginning of Chapter 9.
