I use these laminated cards as literacy centres, making lots of clothes pegs with a vowel written on them and having the children make as many words as they can by clipping the peg into the vowel space, then writing each word onto a whiteboard or sheet of paper. Doing this, they are also increasing their fine motor control and muscle strength in their hands. You could also have the children write the vowel onto the card with a dry-erase marker.
