Art Rubric and Student Self Assessment
This is a rubric I created for my middle school art students to use for all of our projects. I print these for students and they fill in the requirements for each project (sometimes I have them copy what I wrote or pre fill them in) and they create their own goals and write them in the space. The craftsmanship is graded on IB standards and there is also a section for productivity. I use these for students to self identify what level their work is at and circle those categories. This is the project unit I use in place of an exam for my Graphic Design 1 students - they get to combine their knowledge of Graphic Design over both semesters by creating a full brand identity for an original pizza company!
