I made this unit to squeeze in a ceramics unit with my intro to art classes! It teaches them the basics of ceramics, including how to make a pinch pot. Students make their chia pet using two pinch pots slipped-and-scored together to make a sphere. The folder includes written directions to print out, a project brainstorming worksheet, the unit presentation, and a rubric! :-)

I created this unit for my advanced Graphic Design students, so they could practice digital painting beyond flat-style illustration! I adapted this project/unit for my graphic design course, I originally created a similar unit for an illustration class with limited computer access, this one is adapted for Adobe Illustrator! This lesson expands on the live paint tool and is great if your students are used to using that tool from a Low-Poly assignment. After converting the fills into their own shapes, students work on adding SHADOWS, HIGHLIGHTS, and TEXTURE to their characters and their illustration!
