FREE Pi City in the Sky Pi Day Math Activity Math Art Project Pi Day Craft STEAM
Pi Day Coloring Activity: Pi Skyline. Create your own round version of Pi Cityscape to make a mural, door decoration, or bulletin board display. Let your students express themselves using these hands-on Math & Art resources during the exploration of Pi.Write the next digits of Pi in the sections outside the circle. Mark the height of the bars using the ruler provided so that each bar corresponds to one digit of Pi.Then color the bars to create a round city skyline (colored/black/rainbow).

Area and Volume Project
Goal: To find the square footage of your dream home. Then, to find the volume of your dream home. Finally, to build a to-scale model of your home.
We discussed the volume by deciding how high the walls will be. Feel free to adjust to your needs. We are building our models out of foam board and cardboard.

Thank you for your interest in my Candy Box Math Project! I am looking forward to using this project in my classroom again this year. The students last year really enjoyed getting to use this hands on approach to perimeter and area, and it looked GREAT for open house!

Angles and Lines Robot Project
This is a great project I used with my third graders in which students design their own robot while applying their knowledge of the following vocabulary terms- point, line, endpoint, line segment, right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, perpendicular lines, and parallel lines.
A checklist for students with the vocabulary words and definitions is included along with a rubric, in addition to a framed piece of paper students can use to draw their projects, as well as an early finisher extension.
