Goal: To find the square footage of your dream home. Then, to find the volume of your dream home. Finally, to build a to-scale model of your home. We discussed the volume by deciding how high the walls will be. Feel free to adjust to your needs. We are building our models out of foam board and cardboard.

A more advanced grid exercise. Students will surprise themselves when they draw the simple squares while reassembling them to complete an impressive drawing. The squares provided, however, only complete the left half of a symmetrical image. The right half is completed by the students reproducing the squares again, this time drawing the contents in reverse to create a mirror image of the left side.
