This is a dramatized version of a story that famous educator Maria Montessori created. It was recorded by Michael J. Dorer in his 2017 book, The Deep Well of Time and is known in the Montessori community as " The Love Story of the Lines" (yet my version isn't a love story). I adapted his script into a 4-page play (about 10-15 min.) that can be performed with a class forming two lines facing each other while the teacher narrates the script.
