Matrix Addition and Subtraction

This worksheet gives students practice on adding/subtracting matrices (6 of them), naming a matrix and using rows and columns to name places of elements, and creating a specified sized matrix from a word problem. This can be used as a quiz for adding and subtracting matrices or additional practice. There is a bonus question at the end that has the students add two matrices and then multiply the answer by another matrix.

This fun project on consumer topics originally created to be used as a "holiday shopping project". It has now been made generic for any time of the year, but is easily customizable. It is a great way to assess a unit over percent proportions. Students use the percent proportion to calculate discounts, taxes, tips, percent off, and original prices. Students create a final product which can be displayed. A rubric is included. Tax rates in the Katy, TX area are utilized but can be customized

My students and I sing this multiple times throughout the year to compute with decimals. I also use it as a call and response when students get stuck and don't know what to do. I'll watch students mouthing the words on tests and quizzes to help them remember. I've also gotten public performances when I've run into students outside of school. To use in your classroom search on

They have to match the correct fraction, decimal, percent, and picture correctly, then draw it into their answer sheet (the drawing helps the reinforcement). The answer key is in the
