A Basic Lesson on Copyright and Intellectual Property
This 30-minute lesson (which could easily be extended to almost an hour, since your students will have a lot of questions) introduces students in grades 4 and up to the basic ideas of copyright law. Students will:
1) Briefly discuss what they already know,
2) Take a 5 question quiz about what to do in situations where copyright is often broken,
3) Look at simplified, elementary-age-appropriate definitions of the words intellectual property, copyright, patent, and trademark,

Bass Clef Lesson with Flash Cards
This is a lesson that introduces notes on the bass staff, as well as B above the staff and middle C. After an introduction to the staff, a 30-card quiz is used to reinforce the note names. Students identify the note shown by writing the answer on a line, then remove the screen shade to reveal the correct answer. This is great for both individual and group work, and can be made into a competitive or non-competitive game as needed.

This powerpoint presentation was created to give some background information about Bernard Pomerance's play "The Elephant Man." The play is divided into 21 scenes and the powerpoint includes one slide for each scene to give students visual accompaniment to the story. After reading the play, we take a quiz and watch the film by David Lynch.
