Music Room Interactive Visuals

This is an interactive file with the visuals I use most often in my classroom. Body percussion staff- you can move the notes on the staff to make ostinatos to repeat. Solfege Ladder- you can move the solfege notes that you are not yet using- put them in the box and clear the visual to the only solfege notes you and your students need. Xylophone visual- you can demonstrate xylophone patterns for students in a large fashion, as well you can remove the bars you are not using.

Brain Breaks for the Music Classroom

This is an interactive product to use Brain Breaks in your classroom. (Over 40 different brain breaks!) This could be used in any class, but some of the breaks require a little more space, making it idea for the music room. The pages are interactive in that students can push a card to reveal the brain break behind it. It resets when you leave the page. My students always look forward to having a little movement break throughout the class and are always excited to get to pick the break.

This product includes 32 sets of note naming cards for teachers and students. Each set has one card with notes spelling a word using a treble clef, and a matching card with the word written out. Teachers can use these as part of their centers, or make more sets to use as a whole class. They can be used as flash cards, or as a matching activity, or as a memory game.

Grand Behavior Plan

This is a package for my Class Behavior Plan for my music room. It outlines my 5 classroom rules. (I included a blank page if you would like to use your own rules.) It also has a behavior tracking page for each of my classes. It also has a place that I write with my students what our behaviour focus will be for that class. I have it set up for my classes, (I teach 1-8) But you can rename the pages for their classroom teacher's name, or their class code if you wish.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching for 5 years now and I have loved every minute of it. I love change and variety, and for that reason teach a variety of things. Right now I am teaching k-8 General Music, as well as 9-12 Choral Music.

Teaching style

I feel that students need to experience everything first hand. I focus on having students explore and experience most musical ideas in a variety of ways, rather than being told what something is. In that way, my classroom can seem loud and chaotic at times, but I know my students are engaged and part of a great music community.

My own education history

I have a bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Music, with an Elementary Music Minor, and a Choral Major.
