Polynomial Function Project - Roller Coaster

Created by
Algomath
In this project, students learn how to use polynomial function to model roller coaster rides. In this first part, they are given some polynomial functions to find the relative maximum/minimum, increasing/decreasing intervals, x- and y-intercepts, etc. They will explore the average rate of change. In the second part of the project, students are asked design their own roller coaster given some basic criteria. Students should use graphing devices/computer applications to complete this project.

Welcome to the Euler’s Line ProjectEuler's Line passes through a triangle's circumcenter, orthocenter, and centroid. It is the goal of this project to find those three points using prior knowledge of lines, systems of equations, and geometry. Educators can use this project in Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus at both regular and honors levels. This project is designed for small group work. For example, you could have groups of three; Then, each student would find the orthocenter, circumcente
