This activity can be used when teaching introductory phonics instruction. It helps students identify VOWELS and CONSONANTS. The first 2 worksheets are simple, with only letters. The following 5 worksheets introduce CVC words with isolated vowels, the next 3 worksheets are mixed vowels and the last worksheet is mixed vowels with initial/beginning blends. Students are directed to identify consonants and vowels by color coding them. Worksheets 3-11 students are asked to identify isolated consonant
