This visual aid was designed to help my students understand metric conversions. Not being familiar with the metric system, my 5th graders needed something that would help them see how the prefixes changed the base units. This is a great tool for visual learners as it shows how the metric sizes increase and decrease. It also shows the conversion factor between each step.
