This activity is great for beginning to learn how to add and subtract integers. Included is a handout as well as slides for you to show how the modeling and number lines work. I will print out what I call the "activity mat" and laminate or put it in a sheet protector so students can draw on it with a dry erase marker. Then I pull up the slides and go through different problems with students and let them do the modeling as I am doing it on the board.
