This interactive journal could be used as an interactive activity, a mini lesson or a whole group lesson.
It clearly shows students the relationship between addition and place value with regrouping.
To use this insert, photocopy it back to back and staple the left hand side. Glue the last page into a note book and students can flip the small pages to work through the lesson.
It may also be used as homework, which will show parents how addition can be completed using the place value method.
This is used to introduce division vocabulary. It is a fill in the blank notes page for students to glue in their interactive notebook. You could also use it as a quick check for a classwork grade. It focuses on the terms division, divisor, dividend, and quotient.
Students can use this sheet to glue into their interactive math notebook as examples of multiplicative comparisons. Students use the number bank to correctly complete the statements to have as a reference throughout the unit. Alternatively, this can be used as a quick check, scaffolding activity, small group, or center.
Use for standard 2.OA3. Students write and illustrate what happens when you add an odd+odd, even+even, and odd+odd. Could also be used as assessment of this standard. Great for interactive notebooks!
Give students the blank 2 sided copy, play the folding video and use the PowerPoint to show the answers to the blanks.

This editable document can be used to guide learners when exploring numbers independently. Place document in a sheet protector with needed materials (ten frame, dice and/or objects).Learners will record findings in their math journal. To extend learning have them compare numbers with a partner and discuss addition ways they can represent numbers on the ten frame. I would model this activity during whole group instruction before independent practice.
Can be used for flipbooks or interactive notebooks to help students remember the steps to long division.
