A brief set of notes are helpful for students to refer back to for homework, classwork, or studying. I provide these for my students to glue in to their math notebooks where they add practice problems and classwork.
Download this note taking page and adapt it to if your classroom needs. Use the original percents at the top as your examples for the rest of the document or make up problems to fill in with the students. Let the students use these notes to help them through homework assignments, activities, and on tests.
This is a great resource for an interactive notebook. Good colored visual for kids to use when doing any fraction, decimal, percent conversion. You can print in color where each step is color coded to the steps of the conversion. You can also print in black and white and have the kids color code the arrows with the corresponding steps using colored pencils or highlighters.
I have created 21 different mastery tests that assess students' proficiency of the Number and Operations in Base Ten, Number and Operations in Fractions, and the Operations and Algebraic Thinking standards. I usually have my students glue the first 2 pages in their interactive math notebooks, and as students pass the assessments with a score of at least 80%, I initial that lesson and students know to move on to the next quiz. These tests are used as brief formative assessments to help me to d
In this graphic organizer, the student will fill in the areas for the part to total and use the "1" to see that in order to find the %, you can multiply the top and bottom of the ratio by "1" to get the percent. Laminate so the students can use it over and over with dry erase markers.
This graphic organizer lets your students relate decimals, fractions andpercents based on the day of school. It also includes work for factors and multiples of the day of school. Daily Money can be used to teach place value and making change. Start with a certain dollar amount, ( I use $1,000,000 and every day we multiply the date by 1,000 and that is what we spend.
Students can use this flip book to make conversions between fractions, decimals, and percents.
The "notes" are page 2 for you to cut and paste for all students or only with modifications!
Only add examples!
Your purchase includes directions to the activity, a table that allows scholars to record: # of boxes out of 100, the fraction, decimal, andpercent form, and the 10 by 10 grid. Would work well for an interactive notebook entry.
This foldable is to help students with 3 of our learning goals for Chapter 7. It focuses on ratios, unit rate and unit cost, converting fractions to decimals to percents, and finding a percent of a number. I printed the template into SMARTNotebook and we wrote the notes as a group. They cut and pasted their notes onto a construction paper.
This is intended for the first days of school allowing students to share there summer, then determining percentages on certain aspects of that summer. this offers a great hook into estimating percentages and also thinking about units of measure when making sense of those percentages. The first page allow a lot of discourse for estimating percent into hour by first converting major check points like 25,50,75 and 100 percent. The second page allows student to think more deeply on how to properly a
