Writing an equation in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b, to model a linear relationship from a real-life word problem is a critical skill that students must master in Pre-Algebra. Before students can do this they must be able to understand what slope and y-intercept are. Within these Slope Intercept Interactive Notebook Lesson, you will be creating a visual representation with your students of the components of the slope intercept and how to quickly identify each when looking at an equation.
