Holiday Recipe - Math Project - Printable & Distance Learning Versions
Math is best learned in real life situations. This project puts students into the real life situation of making a holiday recipe. Students create a food budget and a timeline, available in a printed version and a Google Classroom version. While working on problem solving and creative thinking, students also work on rounding, addition and elapsed time. A simple grading rubric has been built in to give students guidance and feedback. Students work on solving algebraic equations as well as using them in a coordinate square. I used some funny faces to make it more interesting. Additional advanced tasks (including distance calculations) and answer pages are included.
