Rules for Integer Addition and Subtraction Powerpoint
This presentation introduces the rules for adding and subtracting integers.
At certain points in the presentation, students are asked to solve a set of addition or subtraction problems, then use the results to come up with a rule on their own. The problems, along with prompts for students to develop their rules, are provided on a sheet included with this product.
The rules are formally introduced after students have had a chance to develop them on their own.
