Dot Arrays: Single Digit, Units, Models and Corresponding Equations w/Awards
A dot array is a single unit item. Meaning, it has to be an arrangement of identical items: cans of soup, flowers, corn fields, automobiles, etc. This is a good introduction of units for future math problems (this will be more significant when calculating areas in squares and units of measurements). The second important item is understanding how to group rows and columns. Use these terms and vocabulary explicitly. How an array is grouped effects its equation. Group in either rows or columns. If

Counting Dot Method Chart
It's not uploading correctly so it will need tweaking. Change font to SF Movie Poster in Microsoft Word, then move dots to correct place and on top of numbers. If addition is a struggle try the counting dot method.

Dot Math Worksheet - More than 20
This worksheet uses dominoes to show students numbers 1-20 in dot notation. The student is then able to count these dots to make numbers larger than 20, and show the many ways the numbers can be made. For example: 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 OR 2 + 1 + 3 + 6, but for numbers that are more than 20.

In this Ten-frame math game children will practice their addition & subtraction skills. They will practice counting the dots on a die, filling up their ten frame and writing numerals. They will add or subtract depending on the skill you are practicing. Children can play on their own or pair up to compare most and least.

Two Hands-On MAD activities are included: one involving jalapeno pepper plants and the other rolls of a die. Pumpkin Counters
This product contains pictures of pumpkins with a number. I had my students count out that many M & Ms and place them in the pumpkin. For the lower students, there is a set that has that number of dots in the pumpkin where the students could place the M & Ms on the dots. These can be used MANY ways, not just the way I used them! :)

Doubling numbers up to 100 with visual aid to 20
Linking the visual representation of digits and numbers and being able to double firstly digits and then all numbers to 100 (using the strategy if I know double 3 ones = 6 then double 3 tens = 6 tens or 60) becomes much easier. Empty columns are for you to add your own headings eg plus 1, plus 10, triple or x 3, double double or x 4, odd or even?, 5 less than or whatever you want to practice.
