Build Your Own Dream House
In this project, students will work on the CCSS Ratios and Proportions to create their very own dream house in blue print form and then in 3D model form. This is a packet which includes explicit instructions, rubrics for each portion of the project and a timeline which can be modified for your personal use once packet is purchased. This is meant to last about one month and can be done in groups or individually! Definitely a project which inspires creativity! Enjoy!

This is a project in which students are given a million dollars and have to spend it in certain ways. They have to go to college (including putting 15% aside for books/housing,etc), buy a house, go on vacation, buy a car, and donate to a charity. They have to write checks for each purchase. My students really loved this project as an end of the year activity!

Multiplication and Division 4 Square Bundle
These differentiated math projects have been created to allow students choice and creativity in a menu style to demonstrate their learning of the concepts of multiplication and division. Each 4 square provides students with four choices of different products to choose from and asks the students to choose two. Business Savvy with Decimals
This is a project that lasts as long as you want it to... I usually give my students a good 2 weeks of math period time (or extra time) to complete their business idea. This does also require a teacher or someone to "shop" at their businesses when they are ready. Then, on the last day, students get to "shop" at each others' businesses. Every year this has been a huge success. Have fun!!!

Students in this project use scale, area, and some other math skills to create their dream home floorplan. In my class, they had to research the prices of the flooring and calculate how much it would cost based on their dimensions. It was a blast!

Building Rectangles with Centimeter and Inch Tiles
I created this project as a summation of Eureka Math Module 4 for Grade 3. A sample template comes attached and the file is in word form so you can modify it as necessary. It was great for a little extra home connection that showed families what their students were learning. For this project, students take the same number of square units (in centimeters and inches) and create the same shape. They then answer questions about their creations and submit as a poster.
