Flow chart for solving quadratic equations

Created by
Latha Sanjai
This flow chart gives a structured way to solve a quadratic equation. I came up with this after noticing that even my pre-calculus and calculus students spent a lot of time (when they reached a quadratic equation) trying to factor. If the students use this regularly, they will remember the method and save a lot of time. A good strategy for preparing for SATs too.

Two-Digit Addition Within 100 | Interactive PowerPoint | Number Line Strategy

Created by
Protuoliukas
This interactive PowerPoint activity helps students understand two-digit addition within 100 using a clear and visual number line approach. By separating tens and ones, learners can see each step of the addition process and build strong number sense. ✳️ How it works: Students solve each task using two number lines: • First, they click to add the tens on the first number line • Next, they add the ones on the second number line • Finally, they select the correct answer by choosing the tens and

This flipchart for Promethean Boards (or can be converted for Smart Boards) introduces the concept of the Chain Rule in Calculus. It has worked through examples for students to see when the Chain Rule is needed, as well as thoroughly described and solved examples. Includes an example (solved) that also used the Quotient Rule. This lesson can easily be converted to PDF for printing or teaching, see attached Demo for how PDF of slides looks. This is perfect for high school calculus courses.

Finding max/min and inc/dec by hand and with a calculator

This two column chart compares how to find max/mins and inc/dec intervals by hand and by using a graphing calculator. This is important since the AP test requires students to know both.

Chapter 1 Notes (Pre-Calculus 11)

These notes summarize key concepts, formulas, and problem-solving strategies from the Pre-Calculus 11 (BC) textbook. They are organized by unit and topic, with clear explanations and important definitions to support understanding and review. Examples are taken directly from the textbook to reflect the methods and approaches used in class. The purpose of these notes is to reinforce core mathematical skills, prepare for tests and assignments, and provide a quick reference for essential concepts t

This is what I believe to be a complete document on integration by parts. It includes the proof/derivation, the ILATE strategy for choosing u, and nine worked examples. The examples tackle concepts of indefinite integrals, definite integrals, multiple integration by parts/tabular integration, using integration by parts to prove an antiderivative formula, the circular integration trick, and the setting-C-to-a-particular-value trick.

This graphic organizer was made after out school got bit by the "Max Thompson" bug. We are working hard to implement Learning Focused Strategies. Research shows that students who learn with graphic organizers are better prepared for assessment. My students did better on their test than in years past. I had the students put the information on a Frayer diagram themselves. This way they had ownership of the organizer and were more interested in it. Vanessa
