Kid friendly Math Extended Response How-To Rubric
Get that last push before the ISAT. This is a simple way to teach your students how to do Math Extended Response based on the ISBE rubric. It's easy, simple, can be taught in 30 minutes, and is reproducible for all your students.

QR Codes Measurement Process Skills
This is a set of QR codes with higher order, rigorous questions using process skills. Students solve multistep problems and can show work in an app. While solving, they have simple tasks such as to write the hardest workers name on the board. This is very engaging while solving math measurement questions. This will take atleast an hour to complete.

Colorful Code Words- Problem Solving
This is a colorful chart of problem solving code words for math. The words are broken into groups (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.) The colorful arrangement helps their brains reflect back to certain words when they are no longer allowed to use their chart. I have found that the students do so much better when they have a copy of the chart in color, but we keep a black and white extra in our notebooks.

Place Value QR COde Task Cards
Students will practice writing numbers in standard form, word form, expanded form, and expanded notation. They then use a device (tablet, phone, anything that has a QR Code reader) to check their answer. Numbers start in the hundred thousands and go up to the hundred billions. There are 20 different task cards and a recording sheet for student work.

Around The World (QR Codes)- Identifying Angles
This Around The World activity focuses on:
* The definition of acute, obtuse, and right angles
* Identifying angles from a variety of pictures (acute, obtuse, right, and reflex)
* Complementary and Supplementary Angles
This activity is a perfect way to review for a classroom assessment. Students can self check their answers using the QR codes at the bottom of the page.

Place Value Chart (Color Coded) Word Document
This is a blank color-coded place value chart that I use to pinpoint similarities within the place value chart. This can be printed out and given to each child to write on or ca easily be edited as it is a word document, so you can add your own digits to it.

Math Extended Response Rubric
This is a rubric to grade your students' extended responses to math word problems, which they will be assessed on in the PARCC assessment. It looks at organization, amount of information, quality of information, thoroughness of information, and correctness of their answers. This give you an objective way to grade their extended responses. If you would like, you can further customize it to fit your classroom needs.

This CFA will cover stem and leaf plot graphs, median, mode, and range.
Students will need a device that has a QR reader.
Place the codes around the room and students get to pick which number they do and complete the task, then move on to the next.

Math Rubric: Student Made Educational Math Tool
This rubric will assess an educational math tool made by your students using 4 categories: Description, Structure, Goals/Objectives, and Calculations. The math tool that is given to create can be at your discretion, but the rubric is broad enough to grade any of these tools for any grade!

A visual powerpoint with video links to support and engage learners. Examples for children to do on whiteboards or in groups and consolidate learning. QR codes given for links to games associated with finding the volume, differentiated through PACE (Practise, Apply, Correct and Extend). I have also included two concept cartoons for finding the volume of a cuboid and a compound cuboid shape. I found these to be very useful for clearing up misconceptions and to support pupil led discussion.

In this activity students will add two numbers together ex (39 + 8) using a tens frame to compose a ten. Studnets will solve the problem then check thier answering by scanning the QR Code.

This is a math open response rubric that can be used as a graph. Students can clearly see the expectations for a clear math explanation. When receiving feedback, they can color in the areas they achieved, leaving a clear visual for the areas they are working on improving.

Weekly 5 Math Review with QR Code Answer key - Set 1
In this self-checking math review, there are five multiple choice question, each one printed on a different page. The sixth page contains the answer key. Students us a scan app such as QR Reader or Scan to check their work. The five questions can be posted around the room to give students movement as they work on recalling what they have learned throughout the year. Teachers can also have the students write the answers on a separate sheet of paper and use as a quick quiz.

This is an awesome quiz with a rubric, but you could even use it as a worksheet for your class. The activity includes tally charts, a line plot, a pictograph and a bargraph for the students to create. I use fruit snacks with my students, but you could change the worksheet (it is editable) and use counting cubes, or a different treat!
I include the third grade common core standards, but it is adaptable for second or fourth as well. Even fifth grade for review. :-)
