It's Better to Give... Christmas Charity Shopping Activity
This is an activity designed for third, fourth, and fifth grade students who are part of a Gifted/Talented program. This activity is part of the program's goal to help students develop solutions for the problems in the world around them.
Students are provided with information about a fictional family in need of help at Christmas. Students act as members of a local charity who have $1,000 to spend on the family at Christmas. Students are encouraged to think beyond toys and electronics and focus

Number / Color Identification
This is a PowerPoint presentation to be used for both number and color identification in a small group or whole class setting, with minimal prompting. The only materials needed to complete the activity is; a computer with Microsoft PowerPoint, 1" color squares (red, blue, green, yellow), and permanent marker. A SmartBoard or projector is useful but not necessary. Students look at the image on the PowerPoint, identify the correct number/color, and place the number on the graphic organizer. T

Response to Intervention (RTI) documentation form
This form can easily be used by teachers or interventionists to document interventions and progress during Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 of the Response to Intervention (RTI) process. Some schools refer to their RTI team as IAT (Intervention Assistance Team). The girls were ages 6-12, so we completed the worksheet together, and did the scavenger hunt in two groups based on age. The clues for the scavenger hunt will probably need to be rewritten based on the locations you have available.
