I use this worksheet with my IB/ Precalculus students to help them analyze quadratic functions. This worksheet "holds their hands" through the process of using the derivative of a quadratic function in standard form to determine its vertex; once they have its vertex, they rewrite it in vertex form. They use the discriminant to analyze its roots, and they move on to consider the domain and range of specific parabolas.
I use this activity within cooperative groups, and I circulate to make sure
