Finding Inverses Coloring Activity

This one-sided coloring page over Finding Inverses has 9 questions. The student finds the inverse of each given relation or function and then finds the answer from among 3 choices. Then they use the designated color to color the tessellation design. There are no restricted domains on any of the relations/functions. Functions are written using function notation; relations are written using y =. Check out the preview to see all of the questions. Why not color something mathematical?! Key include

Function Notation and Composition of Functions Foldable - INB

This is a great foldable to introduce/review function notation and how it expands to composition of functions. Function notation is shown using a table, graph, and an equation and asks for inputs and outputs. Composition of functions is introduced and uses both f(g(x)) and f o g notations. It does not extend to proving inverse. I use this set of notes as a precursor to using composition of functions to prove inverse. Great for INB with open fonts for students to color in and make their own.

Cut, laminate and assemble dice. Each student (or pair) gets 1 set of dice. I usually have them use a piece of paper to record their work. 10 rolls (5 for each person) takes about 30-45 minutes depending on if you have the students find the domain also.
