Montessori Addition: Bead Stair
BEAD STAIR in a Montessori Classroom are intricate colored beads used as counters in the Math area. Each bead bar is color coded according to the number it represents. Besides counting, the bead stairs can also used for addition. In this product, I have designed a printable paper colored bead stair in the absence of the actual bead stair. Math-- Bead Chain Arrows for Multiplication sentences.
The student will match the multiplication sentence on the arrow to the correct spot on the bead chains. The arrows are color coded to the proper bead chains except for chains 11 and 12.. The font used is 20 Century Gothic The parent needs to cut out the arrows and laminate. The student matches the arrows to the proper bead chain then writes in the answer to the multiplication sentence on the arrow. The wet erase marker that I used can be erased with a damp cloth.
