(Freebie) Integers - Add & Subtract Counters (SMART Notebook File with example)
A step-by-step guide to show your students how to add and subtract integers using counters. I walk through a basic example (involving a review of the ZERO PRINCIPLE) and then provide four practice questions that you can do together (two addition and two subtraction). I have used the infinite cloner feature to allow you to actually use virtual counters on the board (rather than having to draw them with a marker). Enjoy!
