Math: Explain Your Reasoning with the Icons of Depth and Complexity
Use this simple graphic organizer to help your students explain their reasoning when using a traditional algorithm.
Easy and effective!
I have included 3 student samples when assessing understanding of long division.
I have my students complete one of these graphic organizers before I have them produce a lengthier explanation using an iPad presentation application such as Explain Everything.
