Students ought to be the main stakeholders in their own Individualized Education Plans (IEP) but often are not involved in the decision-making process at all. This is especially true among students with moderate to severe disabilities. Portfolios are a wonderful way to increase student involvement and self-advocacy. Students can participate by helping to create a portfolio to share at the IEP meeting and keep for many years to come. This portfolio should include photos (of the student engagi
