Throughout the book, there is a snow storm that lasts 1 week, and then throughout the following week, the snow melts and goes away. I use this book to talk about dynamics and crescendo/decresendo for the first few times with my younger grades. This is a set of posters of the six main dynamic levels. Each poster includes the dynamic symbol, Italian word and English meaning. Also included in the set is a poster with all the levels on it ranging from loudest to softest. These posters would be great for a wall or bulletin board display whether it is temporary or something you leave up all year long. I have also selected particular colors for each dynamic level to have a visual representation of the increase, or decrease, in volume.

This assignment is perfect for differentiated instruction. Students can record answers in the spaces provided or cut each card and place the answers on the back of each card, thus creating flashcards.
