Use this festive SMARTboard activity to increase your students' understanding of addition. This also comes with a recording worksheet. Directions: Roll the die and use the red counters to fill the 10-frame. Then roll the die again and use the yellow counters to fill in the 10-frame. Any extras go on the outside of the 10-frame. Then write an addition math sentence. Record your answers on the worksheet. You must have Notebook software to open this file.

I used this in Kindergarten for a beginning review for five minutes as a review for what we taught the following week. It is based on the common core with boxes labeled accordingly. I did four days together and on the fifth day was a quiz. You can also use this for center work or homework. I used this on the Smartboard and the students completed this for one minute individually. Then, they worked in pairs. We went over this for a few minutes. Mainly, this is used as review.

This is one SMARTBoard Lesson with printables for teaching adding 2-digit numbers with and without regrouping. This lesson involves using base ten blocks to solve problems. The lesson includes racing addition cards that could be used as a scoot game or independent center for students to practice independently at the end of the lesson. There are 16 racing addition cards and a recording sheet for students to record the problem and answers. I created this lesson for the Common Core Standard 1.N
