Simplifying Radicals QR Code Activity
This is a nine question simplifying radical activity where students can self-check using a free smart phone app. It keeps students engaged in their own learning and it also makes sure they master VA SOL A.3. This activity has both square roots and cube roots.

Geometrical Solids - QR Codes
This activity can be used to review the names of geometrical solids that students learn in third, fourth, and fifth grade math. Students can work independently at a station or during independent work by naming the solid and then checking the answer by scanning the QR Code with an IPAD or other Smart Phone Device. I usually pass out one card to a student and then have students trade as they finish.

Calendar Math Morning Work
I made this page to go with Saxon math, but it can easily be used with any calendar math curriculum. My students do this page independently while they are coming into the room in the morning as part of our morning routine. It takes about 20 minutes for them to complete, but that is as we are doing lunch count, putting backpacks away, etc. I gave the student spiraling review of all previously taught standards, which made it great for test prep!
