I've used vectors to create a clean worksheet to practice note values. This work sheet uses whole, half, quarter, and eighth notes/rests and sixteenth notes. We assume we're in 4/4 time, so quarter note = 1, half note = 2, sixteenth note = 1/4, etc etc etc. So, for example, the first problem is half + eighth + quarter = Well, 2 + 1/2 + 1 = 3 1/2! The left side of the worksheet contains no rests and can be used as a modification for special learners. This is a great worksheet to work in pair
