Students will grab a handful (or count pre-selected set) of pattern blocks, sort by shape, count, and graph on a basic bar graph (y-axis goes up to 14 pieces). Following graphing, students will answer questions:
-How many of each type of shape (hexagons, trapezoids, parallelograms, rhombuses, triangles, and squares)?
-How many shapes altogether?
-Shapes with the fewest number
-Shapes with the greatest number
