These curricula aligned colorful cards engage students with the skill of classifying, counting, and creating bar graphs from data. This differentiated pack contains three levels of content: Developing, Meeting, and Exceeding. These levels provide a range of students the opportunity to not only understand, but apply this mathematical concept. This task ticket is best laminated and completed with a dry erase marker.

Developing Cards (1-6): Students must sort a range of real-life objects to construct a bar graph focusing on one object. The graph is created by shading in one box for every similar object they spot. After all objects have been recorded on the graph student then count the boxes they have colored in and write the corresponding numerical value beside it.

Meeting Cards (7-12): Allows students to sort a range of real-life objects to construct a bar graph focusing on two objects. The graph is created by shading in one box for every similar object they spot. After all objects have been recorded on the graph student then count the boxes they have colored in and write the corresponding numerical value beside it.

Exceeding Cards (13-18): Students will sort a range of real-life objects to construct a bar graph focusing on three objects. The graph is created by shading in one box for every similar object they spot. After all objects have been recorded on the graph student then count the boxes they have colored in and write the corresponding numerical value beside it.

Early finishers or students who require a challenge? Golden Tickets are provided. These are questions aimed at taking the skill one step further.

Want to include questions covering specific content you have taught? Blank tickets are also provided. However, please note that they are not editable.

Saving ink? Black & white tickets have been included in this set for your convenience.
