This is a two page document that reinforces the use of finding patterns in numbers. It is an extension of the function machine commonly used in primary math lessons. It takes the rule a bit further and uses the rule in algebraic form for the student to use in figuring out an algebraic expression. I use this with my high ability 2nd grades, although it can be used with any grade if the student needs enrichment or reteaching.

If a student misses one piece of work let's say on a Tuesday, they must start with that piece of work on Wednesday before completing any other tasks that day. At the end of the week, the student themselves check off the corrections column confirming that all of their pieces have been done that week. I do not have assigned daily wor

Reward and Consequence Behavior Chart

We have all been there....we have a child that is unruly and just refuses to listen and follow any rules. I have made this chart just for them. The chart is very simple to use, if the child does well in the 15 minute time span then they receive a star. After so many stars in a row (I usually do 3 stars, but it is up to you) then the child receives an immediate reward for their behavior. Now if the child is having trouble during the time span, mark an X or leave it blank so they know they need to

Commas in Addresses Worksheets and Task Cards for 3rd Grade

Do your students write "123 Main St Chicago IL" instead of "123 Main St, Chicago, IL"? Do they forget the comma between the street and city – or between the city and state? Do they put commas everywhere… or nowhere at all? You're not alone. Commas in addresses is one of those grammar rules that seems simple – until students start writing.
