Chapter 3 Lesson 1: What are ecosystems?
I have designed a set of guided notes in graphic organizer format which are paired with quizzes that directly correspond to each lesson of the Scott Foresman 2006 edition chapters for 3rd grade. The guided notes are taken directly from the text and allow students to independently or in small groups read a lesson and gain important information from the chapter. These guided notes are also wonderful for projecting on a screen to visually assist learners
In this word document is a "Making Connections" grid that can be used when you are learning about the different connections in reading: Text to Self, Text to Text, and Text to World. The students have the opportunity to fill in the grid with definitions from a dictionary, a student friendly definition, a picture to help them remember the definition, and a connection they can make from a book they are reading. Also included, is a Making Connections quiz for the students.
