Best for use after students are familiar with simplifying and multiplying rational expressions, this classwork packet has students work through multiplying rational expressions, dividing with integers, and then builds up to dividing and simplifying rational expressions. It is highly scaffolded and can be done as a groupwork classwork or quiz grade. Students can work through this at their own pace and without much supervision fairly easily!

For this activity students are given a data set (Grady's quiz grades) and then are given a set of guidelines for how those grades will be calculated by his teacher Ms. Stickler. These guidelines may or may not change Grady's average. Students' goal is to determine if he should retake a quiz in order to raise his average above a certain amount. This was done as a problem of the week. Students work in groups and share their solutions.
