This math project has the students plan a vacation for their family or friends. They budget gas, food, entertainment, etc.
* You do need to plan ahead and collect restaurant "to go" menus, maps, and travel brochures. (Teacher directions are given with the lesson along with a rubric).
I used with my 3rd grade gifted and talented students. Other years I used it for a long term fast finisher project. Great for an end of the year activity...plan a vacation.

This project is a great way to explore Prime and Composite Numbers. Students will become advertising specialists and look at the different ways the candies can be boxed using arrays. Through the exploration, students will discover even, odd, prime, composite, and square numbers. By the end of the project, they will make a recommendation for boxing the candies.

In this project-based learning unit, students design, build, and run their own food truck business. Using geometric nets, students construct a 3D food truck and interior equipment, calculate surface area, and apply math to real-world business decisions.
