I created this prezi to assist my students in reviewing the concepts that I taught during the coarse of studying the Go Math Curricula for Chapter five. Those concepts were solving for unknown factors, multiplying with multiples of ten, using the distributive property, and describing number patterns. During the prezi I allowed my students to use white boards to individually and collaboratively find solutions to the story problems during the presentation. I gave table points for correct answer

Prezi presentation with strategies to multiply by 5 and 10
This prezi was created for my students using the Go Math Curricula. The students compare multiplying with 5 with telling time and counting nickles. Students also compare multiplying by 10 with counting groups of dimes. Skipping counting, using the multiplication chart and doubling the products of 5 to get multiplies of 10 are explained during the presentation. Students could watch the prezi as an engagement activity or a way to review and strengthen their existing skills.

Prezi: Using Nine Planets to Multiply by Nine
This Prezi engages students to learn to multiply by incorporating the study of planets. The students will learn how to use the distributive property with addition and subtraction. They will be able to see the number patterns and use the finger method to identify the products with factors evolving the number nine. Although I created this prezi for my third grade classroom it could easily be used to assist students who are older and struggling with multiplying by nine.

In this prezi I used an apple tree background and apple clip art to show students how they could group items together and then regroup them differently to make multiplication easier. The prezi goes step by step to guide the students through the process and it also uses arrays to demonstrate how to use the distributive property for deeper understanding.
