This is an outline of a lesson regarding the Standard 5.NBT.7. I created this lesson using models and also emphasizing on place values. This allowed my students to make connections and see patterns visually. When dividing decimals students would ask: "Why do we put decimal point there?""Why is the hundredth smaller then the tenth?"I noticed they had a lot of questions and it was hard to just explain, they needed the visual representation. Especially for the students who were below grade level or
