In this assignment, students are asked to draw and label a picture of the water cycle. They are also asked to write a description of how the water cycle works. This can be given as a homework or classwork assignment, or as part of a quiz or a test. The rubric is designed so that the assignment is worth 40 points. Students are asked to label evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, and runoff, as well as depict how water moves over land and water, and in plants and animals.
