About the store

Experience

Having spent ten years as a graphic designer in the corporate world, I transitioned to teaching elementary art when my children started school. I have now enjoyed this new career for the past 16 years.

Teaching style

I create step-by-step elementary art lessons, drawing projects, and visual art activities designed to be engaging, low-prep, and easy to follow for classroom teachers and art educators. With a background in graphic design and a strong visual nature, I primarily develop my art lessons using Google Slides. These slides serve as a comprehensive teaching tool, offering students clear lesson objectives, relevant subject and theme information, key vocabulary, links to educational videos, and detailed, step-by-step visual instructions for each art project.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I'm honored to have been recognized as an Emerson Teacher of the Year, and also as my school's Teacher of the Year.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
