Make taxes fun for students now before they become adults :) In this activity, students will find 3 products of their choice of low, medium, and high prices in Pennsylvania. They then will use those same items and search the tax rates of 3 other states, calculating the amount of tax again. Three ways are used: 1) Cross multiplication (you will need to show the tax formula). 2) Shortcut of multiplying by the decimal equivalent of the percent. 3) Finding the total price by multiplying 1.0___.
