Balloons Over Broadway - STEM Build a Thanksgiving Balloon Float Activity
After reading the book "Balloons Over Broadway" about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, students will create and design their own balloon float. Included are extension ideas as well as a design planning page, idea generating page, and a story template as well as directions on how to do the STEM activity. This is a favorite in my class each year and a different type of Thanksgiving activity that generates creativity and allows for student choice.
