Jade Davis, M.S., is an experienced educator, reading specialist, and author dedicated to helping children build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and develop a lifelong love for learning. With over 25 years of experience in the public school system in Florida, Jade works with a wide range of learners, including diverse student populations, bilingual students, and students with learning disabilities. She supports all learners—from high achievers to students who are struggling with reading—by providing targeted strategies that build both skill and confidence.

My teaching style is hands-on, engaging, and tailored to support all types of learners. I believe students learn best through active participation, so I incorporate interactive strategies like games, storytelling, visuals, and movement-based activities to bring lessons to life. Whether a student is a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner, I create meaningful experiences that help them connect with content, build confidence, and retain skills in a fun and purposeful way.

Transforming a Reluctant Reader One of my proudest moments was working with a fifth-grade student who had been labeled a “non-reader.” Through personalized reading conferences, interactive read-alouds, and phonics-based support, I discovered his interest in graphic novels. By building lessons around that genre and celebrating small wins, he not only improved two reading levels in one year but began recommending books to his classmates. Watching his confidence blossom reminded me that the right approach can unlock a child’s potential. 2. Schoolwide Literacy Growth as a Reading Coach As a reading coach, I led a schoolwide initiative to improve comprehension strategies across grade levels. By modeling lessons, co-teaching with staff, and organizing professional development centered on hands-on learning and differentiated instruction, we saw a 30% increase in proficiency on state reading assessments. The best part? Teachers felt empowered, and students were genuinely excited to apply their new strategies during independent reading.

I hold a Master’s degree in Reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages. Also, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am certified in Reading (K–12), and Elementary Education, equipping me with the expertise to support diverse learners across all grade levels.

In the classroom, Jade implements standards-based instruction aligned to Florida B.E.S.T. standards and integrates engaging, student-centered strategies that promote critical thinking, comprehension, and vocabulary development. She is passionate about helping students not only improve academically but also grow in confidence and independence.
