Steve and Joyce are retired educators and have taught for a combined number of 60 years. Joyce feels most at home teaching guided reading and creating engaging activities for diverse young learners. She taught on a strong 1st-grade team with 4 dynamic ladies with decades of teaching experience. Steve's background is in science and social studies and his incredible creativity shines through in the units of study he makes.

Awards & shining teacher moments
Joyce was honored to have been voted Exceptional Teacher in 2003 and 2006. She was selected to have a role on the school leadership team for many years and was a regular presenter at in-service and staff development trainings. Joyce was also honored to have mentored many new teachers in her building where she guided and trained many student teachers over the years.
Steve earned three education degrees throughout his career, the last being an Educational Specialist for Teacher Learning. Before becoming a school administrator, he taught middle school and high school social studies for 12 years. He also served as a school administrator in many capacities for another 15 years. His passion was working with teachers and curriculum.
Being TpT sellers has allowed Joyce and Steve to continue to give to the educational community by creating comprehensive and engaging resources for primary teachers and students.
My own education history
Joyce has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts. She also has a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
