About the store
I am an educator with 25 years of experience serving as a classroom teacher, district Elementary Reading Specialist, campus Reading Specialist, IB Coordinator, and currently Academic Dean. My passion is literacy instruction and children's literature, especially helping students make meaningful connections between texts and the IB Learner Profile. I love creating engaging, practical resources that support both teachers and students in building strong reading skills. Most of my work focuses on upper elementary literacy (grades 3–5), though I have also supported 4th and 5th grade math instruction. All of the resources I create are classroom-tested, student-centered, and designed to make teaching easier while keeping learning meaningful and engaging. As I continue my journey in education, I am also stepping into my coaching and consulting era, supporting educators and schools through 2301 Educational Solutions, where my focus is on leadership, literacy, and impactful classroom practices.

Interpreting Division remainders

This activity is great for students who have a hard time understanding what to do with remainders. These type of questions have been seen on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test and it is one of the number one missed questions. Great whole class lesson, notes, and individual activity.

End of year Science study guide

This is great combination of questions for students to use to study for a 4th or 5th grade end of the year exam. I used questions I have seen on the Texas assessment but I am sure it can be used with any state's standards.

Multiplication Game

This is a quick game or center that your students will love! I put it in a center with a deck of cards and my students pair up and go to town. Print as many recording sheets as you need and let the games begin. A deck of cards are $1.00 or less, so its a inexpensive way to reinforce multiplication to your students.

ABCD cards-brown skin girl

This is a way to boost student engagement in your classroom. I love student response cards but let me share other ways they can be used. 1-give each student a card and they are responsible for justifying if that answer choice is correct or incorrect. 2- give each student a card and then group them according to the letter. 3-use them for 4 corners. Hang them around the room and students stand by answer choice they that have on their paper.

Numerical fluency cards

These numerical fluency cards are perfect for a center or to use as bell ringers. I personally use them for transition between classes, I hold them up and students have to quickly give me response. I do these over and over so that students can become more fluent in math. Laminate them, put them on a ring or zip lock bag and then use them whichever way works for you. There are 12 cards in this listing.

Teaching style

My teaching style centers on engaging, student-centered learning that makes complex concepts clear and meaningful for students. As a visual learner myself, I intentionally design lessons that include visual supports, hands-on activities, and interactive learning experiences so students can truly grasp the skills being taught. I believe students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process, so my classroom emphasizes cooperative learning, discussion, and opportunities for students to think deeply about content. Creating a strong learning community where students feel supported, challenged, and confident is always a top priority. With many years of experience in upper elementary literacy and instructional leadership, I focus on strategies that help students become thoughtful readers, problem solvers, and critical thinkers. My goal is always to make learning both rigorous and engaging, while giving teachers practical tools they can use immediately in their classrooms.

Additional biographical information

I am a proud mom of two amazing children—my son is 26 and my daughter is 16 and preparing to enter her senior year of high school. I’ve also recently stepped into one of my favorite roles yet: grandmother to the most beautiful baby girl, which has been such a special blessing. In addition to creating classroom resources, I am currently booking 1:1 consulting sessions for teachers and campus administrators. I offer both virtual and in-person coaching, focused on strengthening literacy instruction, increasing student engagement, and supporting effective instructional leadership. If you’re looking for practical strategies, engaging literacy instruction, or instructional coaching support, I would love the opportunity to partner with you and your campus. Trusted by educators and school leaders with 25+ years of classroom and instructional leadership experience.
