Pennies- Sample Means Activity
This activity will help students visually understand the concept of the sampling distribution of sample means.
These years represent the dates on a penny in a collection. The mean of the pennies in the collection is 50 with a standard deviation of 4.
This activity can be used to help students see the sampling distribution of a sample mean.
Cut each card out. Place in a container.
Have students draw sample size of 4, find the mean, and record their mean on a dot plot. Students can then analy
